Fantasy RPG Engine โ Work in Progress
The flagship demo: find 3 keys, open the counter-gated door, dodge a patrolling enemy previewed by a real 1-second-ahead shim ghost, and reach the win room. Bitmap-font text, archetypes, flags, and set_motion, all in one scene.
๐ฐA tiled room: pitched floor quads, brick walls from a second sprite sheet, and a translucent ghost penguin โ the shim render path.
๐ฎWASD / arrow keys move the player penguin freely. Space toggles the buddy penguin into the controlled set.
๐Data-driven menu: Up/Down or W/S keys navigate between options. Animation state tracks selection.
๐งData-driven scene: the player walks toward Mochi; a proximity event fires dialogue and sends Mochi leaping away.
โก900 billboarded sprites, GPU-driven animation, orbiting camera. Tests raw throughput.
